| DESTINATIONS
LIBRARY: No. 1 Arizona and Utah, USA Pictures © Robert Fisher |
| Robert Fisher has been to Arizona and Utah on 4 separate occasions in the last 10 years. He has made many friends in the towns of this area of rocky desert. From midsummer desert heat to the snows and frosts of winter, and enjoys the dramatically different landscapes of canyons, arches and multi coloured desert. |
| The Grand Canyon is the obvious place to start, the south rim has the most visitors, but I find the north side has equally dramatic views and is usually cooler as it is higher. A helicopter ride over the canyon was a great experience. |

Bryce Canyon has its own charm and Inspiration Point at dawn is my favourite. This very different scenic area is best viewed at dawn and even in midsummer cold enough at dawn to wear gloves, hat and warm clothing. Winter brings snow and heavy frosts. |
| Monument Valley is another favourite. The immense scale of the valley and butes are an experience to be believed. Nearby Mystery Valley and Teardrop Rock have an equal fascination. | |

| Further north is the town of Moab and the National Parks of Canyon lands (both north and south) and my ultimate favourite Arches. Arches is my favourite of them all. I have spent several days from dawn to dusk exploring the dramatic red coloured arches. I feel that I will return yet again to this area. | |
