Across the ages people have tried to map the fantastical lands that Odysseus visits on his epic journey to actual locations in the real world. Inspired by some of these theories, Laura set out on an odyssey of her own in search of magical places where mythology and geography collide.

In this talk, we will journey through the Mediterranean to these enchanted islands, encountering sea monsters and sex goddesses, fragile masculinity, toxic gods, polyamory and plenty of narcissism along the way and bringing to life a 3,000-year-old poem through exploring the places which may have inspired Homer.
